Bleeper Launches Shared E-Bikes in Dublin

Bleeper Launches Shared E-Bikes in Dublin

Bleeper is delighted to announce the launch of shared electric bikes in Dublin. The new service will begin at midday (12pm) on April 10th with the roll-out of an initial fleet of 50 shared e-bikes.

The e-bikes will be available to hire via the Bleeper app with a €1 Unlock Fee and a €0.16 per minute trip fee. Users of the Bleeper app can switch between the Pedal Bike and Electric Bike services via the tab at the top of the map screen.

This first phase of Bleeper’s e-bike service is being treated as a pilot project, with the intention of learning where and when the public demand for shared e-bikes is greatest.

As Bleeper’s e-bike fleet grows, we intend to expand the area which will be covered by the service. For now, please pay close attention to the map in the Bleeper app to ensure you park your e-bike within a designated operating zone.

Bleeper's Shared E-Bike Operating Zone

The operating zone for the shared e-bike service is smaller than Bleeper’s pedal bike service - due to the smaller number of e-bikes - with a core zone in Dublin city centre and a selection of parking hubs in the surrounding suburbs.

You can find the nearest Bleeper e-bike using the map in the Bleeper app, and you’ll spot them on the street with the distinctive branding of our sponsor Payzone on the rear wheel cover.

If you encounter any issues while trying to use our e-bikes, please contact our customer care team via the in-app Contact Us button, or email customercare@bleeperactive.com.
