Bleeper Launches 'Immunity Mobility' Initiative

Bleeper Offers Free Rides to Vaccine Appointments

We are proud to announce that Bleeper will be providing Dubliners with free bike rides to and from their Covid-19 vaccine appointments. Bleeper wants to help ensure that vaccines are accessible to everyone as more people prepare to get vaccinated in the coming months.

Bleeper’s “Immunity Mobility” initiative will provide people with two free day passes to use for journeys to and from their vaccine appointments at any point this year. With more than a third of Dublin city households not having direct access to a car, the idea behind “Immunity Mobility” is to ensure that everyone can access their vaccination appointments, without needing to use a car or public transport.

Bleeper will be emailing its 75,000+ users about the initiative, but anyone can avail of the free day passes by simply downloading the Bleeper app and using the voucher code VACCINE for your first appointment. The free day pass will begin as soon as the code has been entered, so people should wait until the day of their vaccine appointment before inputting the voucher code. If you require a follow-up appointment you can use the code VACCINE2 on the day of your second jab.

Three of the major vaccination centres are situated within Bleeper's operating zone: The Aviva Stadium, TU Dublin in Grangegorman, and The Helix in DCU. The immunity mobility initiative builds on Bleeper’s ongoing support for Dublin’s healthcare workers, who have been able to avail of free Bleeper membership since last March.

Hugh Cooney, CEO and Founder of Bleeper said: "We’re proud to be providing this free service to anyone who needs it in the coming months. Our Immunity Mobility initiative will give people a safe, socially distanced option for travelling to and from their vaccine appointments. Vaccines are an important step on the road to recovery from Covid-19 and we want to make sure that nobody gets left behind on that journey.”

A spokesperson for Dublin City Council said: “Dublin City Council is delighted to support Bleeper, one of the Council’s licensed operators of stationless bike hire schemes, in this initiative. Throughout the pandemic the Council and Bleeper continue to work in partnership to provide an excellent service to the citizens of Dublin City”.
